Title: Project Manager – Gwanda

Project manager – Gwanda

We are looking for a Project Manager to be based in Gwanda overseeing the implementation of activities in Gwanda, Beitbridge, Gweru, Bulilima and Mangwe. The officer will be expected to carry out the above duties;

  • Leading in the planning and implementation of project activities.
  • Monitoring the progress of programme implementation and take corrective action to ensure that project targets and objectives are met.
  • Represent the project in the province.
  • Ensure effective use of resources.
  • Ensure that periodic reports are well articulated, in time and in the right form.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A Master’s degree in Social work, psychology, sociology or other related areas is a must
  • The ability to fluently communicate in Ndebele is a must
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience
  • A driver’s license is a must (more than 1 year)
  • Computer literacy is a must

A local nongovernmental organizational that provides medical and psychosocial support to survivors of sexual and gender-based violence is looking for a Project Officer to be based in the above districts. The offices will be expected to carry out the above duties;

Duties

  • Conduct therapy session for survivors sexual violence
  • Assessing the psychosocial support needs of survivors of sexual and gender-based violence and providing the necessary   support
  •  Conduct therapy sessions and empowerment initiatives targeting most vulnerable members of the community.
  • Conduct community awareness raising against sexual and gender based violence and early child marriages.
  • Representing the organisation at district meetings
  • Holding cases conferencing with different stakeholders

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Social science degree preferably Social Work, Psychology, Sociology
  • At least 1year experience working on sexual and gender-based violence
  • Driver’s license a must
  • Ability to fluently communicate in Ndebele is a must
  • Computer literacy a must

Monitoring and Evaluation officer – Gwanda

Key duties will be as follows:

The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will have the following duties and responsibilities among others:

  • Develop and strengthen monitoring, inspection and evaluation procedures
  • Recommend further improvement of the logical framework.
  • Develop monitoring and impact indicators for all projects.
  • Suggest strategies to the organisation for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the programme by identifying bottlenecks in completing project activities and developing plans to minimize or eliminate such bottlenecks.
  • Report monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and annual progress on all project activities to the  Director/Project Manager.
  • Participate in annual project reviews and planning workshops and assist the Programme  Manager in preparing relevant reports.
  • Assist the programme personnel with M&E tools and in supporting them in their use.
  • Assist the Project  Manager in preparing other relevant reports.
  • Organize and conduct training on M&E for programme staff.

Qualifications

  • First degree in social science
  • Postgrad qualification in monitoring and evaluation
  • Knowledge of data analysis computer packages
  • Ability to drive
  • Be fluent in Ndebele.
