Collaboration lies at the heart of everything Family Support Trust (FST) does. The organisation works closely with government ministries, development partners, and civil society organisations to strengthen Zimbabwe’s national response to sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV).
These partnerships ensure that survivors receive coordinated, high-quality care, while communities benefit from comprehensive prevention and awareness initiatives. Through collective effort, FST and its partners continue to create safer environments where survivors are supported and empowered, and where violence is not tolerated.
FST maintains strong relationships with key government ministries and institutions that play vital roles in the national SGBV prevention and response framework. Together, these partnerships help ensure that survivors have access to medical care, justice, and social support services across Zimbabwe.
Our key government partners include:
FST believes that communities play an essential role in the prevention of gender-based violence. To that end, the organisation works hand in hand with civil society groups, community-based organisations, and advocacy networks to extend awareness and support to every corner of the country.
These collaborations ensure that survivors can access help locally, while communities are educated on prevention, reporting, and early response. FST regularly engages faith-based organisations, traditional leaders, schools, and local champions to promote cultural and behavioural change.
The work of Family Support Trust would not be possible without the generous support of its development partners and donors. These partnerships enable the organisation to maintain its survivor-friendly clinics, expand outreach programmes, and implement innovative projects that transform lives.
